Marca recorded its best ever share on 18th September (2.1%)

“Futboleros” was a big hit with viewers and was watched by 441,000 people on average (3.3%)

Marca continues to beat records. Last Sunday, the 18th September, it recorded its best ever share figure, 2.1%. The viewing figure was topped off by record breaking viewing figures for “Futboleros”, which with a 3.3% share became the most popular sports talk-show of the evening.

The sports channel closed out its best ever week with an average audience of 1.3%. On Friday 16th (1.46%) it registered its best ever viewing figures for the day. The Eurobasket semi-final between France and Russia was watched by 590,000 viewers (5.7%), becoming the most watched programme since the launch of the channel in September 2010.

Saturday 17th September, a big success (1.58%)

The Spanish National 5-a-side league match between Benicarló and R.Cartagena was watched by 112,000 viewers on average (1.5%). The second division game between Valladolid and Murcia attracted 361,000 viewers and a 3%. The most watched minute of the day was recorded at 17:39, in the second half of the match, with 558,000 people watching (4.9%).

The programme MarcaGol was watched by an average of 248,000 viewers (2.3%), beating its previous best share record. More than three million people watched MarcaGol over its six hours on air (3,252,000).

Sunday 18th September, best ever figures (2.1%)

Sunday was a record-breaking day for the sports channel with excellent viewing figures for its live sporting broadcasts. The morning kicked off with the match between Real Madrid and Bromma from Stockholm in the International Junior Football Tournament for the third/fourth play-off game with an average audience of 90,000 viewers (2.3%). The final, between Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona, saw 146,000 viewers on average and a 2.5% share.

The Second Division B game between Castilla and Getafe B attracted 130,000 viewers, with a 1.9% share. In the afternoon time-slot, the Eurobasket 2011 match between Macedonia and Russia, for the bronze medal, was watched by 349,000 viewers (2.7%).

The most watched programme of the day was the sports talk-show, “Futboleros” which saw an average of 441,000 viewers (3.3%), its best ever viewing and share figures on a Sunday. The average aggregate audience for the programme on Sunday presented by Felipe del Campo was over the 3.5 million- viewer mark (3,687,000) and the most watched moment of the show was recorded at 23:53, when 934,000 viewers (6.2%) were watching the sports channel. At that moment, Marca was the leading new TDT channel.
